The Mount Vernon Patriots have a new website. - please visit the link below for information and contact details.
The Mount Vernon Patriots Travel Baseball Program was developed to provide a higher level of competition beyond our recreational program for talented and motivated players who are willing to commit more time and energy to the improvement of their skills in a focused environment.
Our mission is to teach our exceptional youth baseball players the advanced fundamentals of the game and expose them to a level of competition not otherwise available. Good character, commitment and work ethic will always be emphasized, required and measured in the form of teamwork, focus during practice and games and sportsmanship. The experience at this level of baseball and the coaching principles we have outlined for the program is intended to greatly accelerate their playing capability at the higher levels including middle/high school.
Baseball is a game of specific skills and techniques. Unlike other sports, player development in baseball is not dependent on pure athleticism. In order for our players to grow and be successful, we must provide them the opportunity to develop the important skills using the proper techniques.
Our travel program will define a consistent approach to player development so all players will receive similar instruction that they can build on as they grow through the program.
